MaxDiff is a conjoint analysis methodology that ranks the various attributes of a brand, product or service from most important to least important, or from most attractive to least attractive.

The questionnaires are easy to use because respondents only need to choose the most and least desirable elements from a list of attributes.

This approach is more intuitive than importance ranking, because respondents only need to concentrate on 4 or 5 attributes at a time, instead of a long series of items.
